How To Install Galaxy Note 2 Official KitKat 4.4.2 Update

Download and install official Android 4.4.2 KitKat firmware on the Samsung Galaxy Note 2. Finally, Samsung is releasing the KitKat firmware update for its flagship 2012 flagship devices, in this case for the Galaxy Note 2. The update has been rolled out by Samsung for 2 days now and can be installed with KIES or Odin.

The KitKat update which currently is available for the region of France, brings all the expected changes including Camera shortcut on the lock screen, white status bar icons, transparent status bar, faster and smother experience. If you are in the region, open KIES program and check if the update has become available for you.

Installation

Step 1. Turn off your Galaxy Note 2 and boot it into Recovery Mode (Power Up + Home + Power buttons).

Step 2. Inside Recovery, wipe data, clear cache and dalvik cache and then boot into Download Mode (Power Down + Home + Power buttons).

Step 3. Extract and open Odin3 v3.09 program and connect your phone to your computer with USB cable. A box will turn blue inside Odin.

Step 4. Open Odin3, click AP, search for the downloaded firmware and select it. Then click Start.

Step 5. Wait for a few minutes until the firmware has been successfully installed and then reboot your Note 2. Enjoy Android 4.4.2 KitKat update.
