Download and Install LineageOS 17.1 ROM on the Samsung Galaxy S5

The Samsung Galaxy S5 has received the first official build of LineageOS 17.1 ROM. The ROM is based on last year’s Android 10 Q, instead of the recently released Android 11. The new Android 11 is reserved for LineageOS 18, which is already available on some devices. This build is maintained by haggertk, which will periodically release build updates.

LineageOS 17.1 is available in most Samsung Galaxy S5 variants including klte (SM-G900F, SM-G900M), kltechn, klteduos, and more. Listed below is the full list of all supported Galaxy S5 variants.

  • klte (SM-G900F, SM-G900M, SM-G900R4, SM-G900R7, SM-G900T, SM-G900V, SM-G900W8
  • kltechn (SM-G9006v, SM-G9008V)

This is an official build, which means it can be used as a daily driver. There are no major issues and no known problems. However, please note that since LineageOS 17.1 is a ROM based on stock pure Android, you will not get any of the custom features of a Samsung firmware.
